John Ray Aller, 86, of Union City, passed away at his home Wednesday, December 14, 2022.
He will be memorialized at a later date and interred at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsdale County.
The family is being served by Lighthouse Funeral & Cremation in Union City.
John was born July 1, 1936 in Lansing, Michigan to Eldred and Eathel (Elson) Aller. He graduated from Reading High School in 1954. On May 8, 1970, he married the former Patricia Stockman in Union City. She survives.
John was an excellent salesperson. For many years he sold furniture at Hawken’s Furniture Store in Union City and when the store closed, he went to work as a salesperson at Sears in Battle Creek.
John enjoyed golfing, going to the casino and spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren.
In addition to his wife of 52 years, Pat, John is survived by his children, Kristine (Tim Waidelich) of Union City and Timothy Hanson of Colorado; son-in-law, Craig Stuck of Florida; grandchildren, Dustin Racolta, Tyler (Katelynn) Racolta, Ryan (Logan) Racolta, Kayla (Tyler) Brodhagen and Clyde (Emma) Johnson IV; great-grandchildren, Alex, Adalynn and Isla; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Tamela Stuck; and his sisters, Janice Aller and Connie Kizer.
Memorial donations are suggested to the charity of one’s choice.
