Josephine Rose Tucker, 86, of Coldwater passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital.
A memorial mass will be held Friday, January 27, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Coldwater with Rev. Fr. Dan Hyman officiating.
Interment of ashes will follow the service at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Bronson, MI.
The family is being cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
She was born April 15, 1936 to Benjamin and Nellie (Weber) Gigowski in Bronson, MI. Josephine was a graduate of Bronson High School leading to her 15 year career with Branch County Federal Savings and Loan. Josephine would ultimately retire from Coldwater Community Schools after 11 years of dedicated service.
She was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church in Coldwater and the Coldwater Eagles 1907.
Josephine enjoyed bowling, dancing, word puzzles but above, all she loved spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed as a loving aunt and friend to many.
Josephine leaves behind her sister Frances Blight of Albion; her loving nieces and nephews Deborah (Phil) Weitzel of Homer, Caroline (Curtis) Blowers of Burlington, Kelly Blight of Mason, Gary (Wanda) Magner of Union City, Art (Leanne) Blight, Ken (Sue) Blight both of Albion and her special friend Don Davenport of Coldwater.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Pearl Magner, and her two brother-in-laws William Blight and Basil Magner.
Memorial donations are suggested to the Humane Society of Branch County or the American Leukemia Society.
