COLDWATER TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – A Three Rivers man with numerous drunk driving convictions on his record was arraigned in Branch County District Court on Thursday after the Michigan State Police arrested him on Airview Drive in Coldwater Township Wednesday night for suspected operating while intoxicated.
According to a Branch County District Court probable cause affidavit, 41-year-old Jeremy Chandler Tomlinson’s drivers license is indefinitely revoked due to nine prior O.W.I. convictions.
He was formally charged on Thursday with O.W.I. third offense, driving while license was suspended second offense and transporting open intoxicants in a vehicle.
Bond was set at $10,000. A probable cause hearing was scheduled for next Thursday with a preliminary exam on March 2.
Troopers say they were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle complaint at about 9:30 p.m. when a resident saw a vehicle pull into her driveway.
Court documents state Tomlinson was passed out in the driver’s seat. He told troopers he pulled into the driveway because he was out of gas.
A preliminary breath test indicated his blood alcohol level was point-two-one.
After being taken to ProMedica Coldwater Regional hospital for a consent blood draw, Tomlinson was booked at the Branch County Jail.
State Police say he is currently on parole. He was driving a Honda Civic which was towed from the scene. The matter is still under investigation.
