CONSTANTINE, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson Vikings advanced to the regional round of the M.H.S.A.A. girls basketball tournament on Friday afternoon as they defeated White Pigeon 58-27 in the Division Three District Finals at Constantine.
The start time for the game was moved up twice in order to avoid the worst of the winter storm which hit the area on Friday.
It was a dominating victory for the top-seeded Vikings as they raced out to a 25-5 halftime lead.
Haylie Wilson led the Vikings with 21 points while Aubree Calloway added 19 points and Brealyn Lasky had 11 points.
Bronson is now 20-3. They will play Tuesday night in the semifinals of the Centreville regional tournament at 7:00 p.m. against either Niles Brandywine or Buchanan.
The weather forced a postponement of the Division One District final at Battle Creek Lakeview between Coldwater and the host Spartans until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.
