BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson Fire Department announced on Tuesday they have been awarded a grant of over $4,100 from AAA – The Auto Club Group Foundation which will be used to purchase lifting airbags to replace the department’s outdated and expired equipment.
Lifting airbags are used to lift vehicles and equipment to free trapped patients.
The funds provided by the ACG Foundation will be matched with memorial funds already donated to the Bronson Fire Department to buy the airbag system.
The mission of The ACG Foundation is to work on behalf of their members and the communities they serve to create lasting solutions, inspire learning and provide research and funding in the areas of traffic safety, tourism, education and community service.
