COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A new rate structure approved by the Coldwater City Council on Monday night calls for an increase in the monthly charge for refuse, recycling and large item pick ups on September 1.
The Council approved an three year contract extension with Republic Services of West Michigan in May.
City Manager Keith Baker said the resolution adopted by the Council establishes rates for the next three years.
Mayor Tom Kramer felt the city has had a positive relationship with Republic.

In May of 2017, the City renewed the contract with Republic Services for five years.
In 2022, the City renewed the contract for an additional year followed by a three year extension last May.
