Mary Ann Ritter, 87, of Bronson, a cherished mother and devoted grandmother, peacefully left this world on December 9, 2023. She touched the lives of many with her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love.
As a mother, Mary Ann exemplified selflessness, always putting her family’s needs above her own. Her nurturing spirit created a home filled with love and laughter, leaving an indelible mark on each family member.
Mary Ann’s role as a grandmother brought her immense joy. Her eyes lit up with delight in the presence of her grandchildren, and she leaves behind a legacy of cherished moments and lessons that will be passed down through generations. She was not only a matriarch but a friend to those who knew her.
Mary Ann’s gentle wisdom and comforting presence will be greatly missed. Though she has bid farewell to this earthly realm, her love will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know and love her.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, December 15, 2023, at 12:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Bronson with Pastor Josh Englehart officiating. Interment will follow at Snow Prairie Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 10:00 AM, at Dutcher Funeral Home in Bronson.
Mary Ann was born March 2, 1936, in Bronson to Andrew & Wilma (Smart) Conklin. She married Harold L. Ritter on December 29, 1969. He preceded her in death on January 30, 1989.
Mary Ann worked at Quality Springs and then for 25+ years at Bronson Plating, from which she retired. She enjoyed working on word search and crossword puzzles, reading, and watching old western shows. What Mary Ann enjoyed most was spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Mary Ann is survived by her children Charles “Jim” (Kathleen) Warner of Cedar Rapids, IA, Linda (Tim) Jones of Holland, Laura Warner of South Haven, Harold L (Julie) Ritter of Colorado Springs, CO, Bret (Cathy) Warner of Spring Hill, FL, Kathy Wendt of AZ, Eric Warner of South Haven, Phillip (Lisa) Warner of Quincy, Matthew Ritter of Bronson. Sister Dolores “Dorrie” Ritter of Peoria, AZ, sister-in-law Joanne Conklin of South Bend, IN, brother-in-law Dave Miller of Indiana; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great, great, granddaughter.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter Rebecca Ann Warner, her sisters Jeanne Rumsey, Debbie Miller; her brother Donald Conklin; grandsons James Warner and Antonio Warner.
