QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – Officials in the Quincy Community School district have sent a letter to parents which they hope will address concerns raised about certain environmental issues at Quincy High School that maybe impacting the health of students.
Superintendent Marc Kramer says they take these concerns seriously and are actively investigating the reported issues.
Kramer says the district has contacted the Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency after parents complained that students are experiencing seizures, tremors and other neurological symptoms.
According to Kramer, a specific concern has been expressed about the water quality in the district. Concerns have also been raised about the air quality in district facilities.
Kramer points out in the letter the bottom line is the health and safety of staff and students is a priority. He says many factors must be considered within this investigation including things outside the school environmental.
