QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – The Quincy Orioles Varsity Baseball team split their season opening doubleheader on Saturday with Hanover-Horton. Quincy won the opener but dropped the nightcap both by 5-4 scores.
Ethan Copas singled home Brennen Allman for the walk off Oriole win in the first game.
Mason Graves was the winning pitcher as he pitched 4 1/3 innings, allowing just three hits and recording two strike outs.
Brennen Allman led the hitting attack with three hits. Jimmy Maynard had two stolen bases.
Hanover-Horton scored twice in the top of the seventh to win game two.
Alex Barry led the Orioles with two hits including a double. Graves picked up two RBI’s.
