CONCORD, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson girls softball team opened their season with a pair of lopsided victories in the Big 8 Conference on Tuesday.
They defeated Concord by scores of 21-0 and 16-1.
Ashlynn Harris and Mya Webb were the winning pitchers. Harris struck out 12 batters in the opener.
Harris, Ciara Blankenship, Brealyn Lasky and Roni Bir all had three hits in the first game. Lydia Wells went 4-for-5 with a homer and four RBI’s.
Harris and Blankenship both had three hits in the second game. Lasky and Ryleigh Fee both had three RBI’s.
Coach Becky Gray said, “It was a good first 2 games for us. Everyone was able to participate and we hit the ball well. The pitchers threw well and we played defense behind them.”
