LANSING, MI (WTVB) – Michigan Fifth District Republican Congressman Tim Walberg will not face a Primary challenge in August.
According to the Michigan Secretary of State web site, he was the only Republican to file before Tuesday’s deadline to get on the August Primary ballot.
Walberg will face Democratic challenger Libbi Urban of Buchanan in November. Urban is facing no opposition on the Democratic side for the August Primary.
There are four candidates for the 35th District State House seat that Andrew Fink is giving up at the end of the year since he is running for the Michigan Supreme Court.
