CLINTON, MI (WTVB) – After wrapping up the Big 8 Conference title on Tuesday, the Bronson Vikings kept the positive momentum going on Thursday night by sweeping a doubleheader at Clinton by scores of 6-2 and 5-3.
First game winning pitcher Ashlynn Harris did not allow an earned run in the first game as she tossed a one hitter and struck out eight.
Harris helped her own cause with two singles. Brealyn Lasky had a double.
Mya Webb was the winning pitcher in the second game.
Lasky had three hits and drove in three runs while Harris and Webb each had two hits.
Coach Becky Gray said, “Very proud of the girls. We played a tough Clinton team and came away with 2 wins. The pitchers pitched well and we played behind them. We also attacked at the plate. It was a great team win tonight.”
Bronson’s record is now 19-9. They will host the Polish Classic on Saturday.
