BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – Commencement ceremonies were held on Sunday for graduating seniors at Quincy and Coldwater High Schools.
Mother Nature co-operated as both ceremonies were held outside but temperatures in the 80s made things somewhat uncomfortable.
Class sizes at both Quincy and Coldwater were down in 2024 compared to recent years.
The 144th graduation ceremony at Quincy High School once again took place on the football field.
The Class of ’24 had 88 graduates. This year’s Quincy Senior Scholars are Ella Worden, Nathan Richer, Kaylee Modert and Elly Brewer.
A Quincy tradition that goes back to 1898 continued on Sunday with the passing of the Cane.
Commencement ceremonies for the 157th graduating class at Coldwater High School took place at Cardinal Field. The Class of ’24 had 22 Senior Scholars among its 194 students who graduated.
The Valedictorian was Eric Rucker.
