BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – After the Bronson Fire Department was awarded a grant of over $4,100 from AAA – The Auto Club Group Foundation last year, a new airbag lifting system has arrived and Bronson firefighters recently received training from a factory-authorized training specialist.
The Bronson Fire Department had old, expired high-pressure lifting bags.
The new ones will be used to lift vehicles when needed during emergency response to vehicle crashes or to free people trapped by machinery when farm or industrial accidents occur.
The funds provided by the ACG Foundation last year were matched with memorial funds already donated to the Bronson Fire Department to buy the airbag system.
