COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – North Chain of Lake President Terry Reen has presented six new Personal Flotation Devices to the Branch County Sheriff’s Office.
The North Chain Lake Association approved a donation of over $900 for two Mustang personal flotation devices for Marine patrol deputies, and six youth size PFD’s for the loaner program at the Spring meeting.
Branch County Sheriff John Pollack said in a news release that the PFD’s will be used in the Sheriff’s Office PFD loaner program which is designed for boaters who forgot or do not have the right PFD.
These PFD’s can be used for the day and then returned for others to use.
The two new Mustang PFD’s are to be used by the Marine Patrol Officers while patrolling. These PFD’s are a safety device and will automatically inflate should an Officer be thrown or fall from a vessel.
