UNION TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – A 61-year-old man from Union City is dead after it’s believed his motorcycle hit a deer on Friday evening.
The Michigan State Police told WOOD-TV the crash happened at around 7:00 p.m. on Francisco Road near Arbogast Road. Michigan State Police say the eastbound motorcyclist is believed to have hit a deer.
The unidentified man died after being rushed to a nearby hospital. Scanner traffic indicated there were attempts to get a medical helicopter to the scene.
Further details about the crash were unavailable as State Police Troopers from the Marshall post are still putting together their report.
Life Care Ambulance as well as the Union City Fire and Police Departments assisted State Police at the scene.
