COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A July 1st deadline has been set for Branch County Administrator candidates to apply for the position.
Recruiter Chet Janik told Branch County Commissioners last Tuesday the job has been posted throughout the state.
It is also on Indeed and Zip Recruiter as well as with the Michigan Association of Commissioners and the Michigan Municipal League.
Two people had expressed an interest as of last Tuesday. After the July 1 deadline passes, all of the applications will be forwarded to the Commissioners for their review.
After the Commissioners rate the applicants, interviews will be set up.
Department Heads and Elected Officials will be involved when the second round of interviews take place.
It’s hoped the job can be offered to the winning candidate in late July with that person starting on October 1.
Current Administrator Bud Norman will be retiring once his current contract runs out on December 31, 2024.
