BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson City Council adopted the city’s 2024-2025 Fiscal Year Budget on Monday night.
City Manager Brandon Mersman says this budget projects $1.7 million in general fund expenditures and has a projected deficit of roughly $311,700.
The budget includes expenses related to the collection system improvements through the State Revolving Loan Fund.
It also includes a fifth full time police officer and adding an assistant to the City Manager position.
In addition, there is $205,000 for a potential Compton Street Road project with new curb, gutter, sidewalk, and lead service line replacement as well as $85,000 in the water budget for materials to replace lead and galvanized service lines.
