Jason S. Hungerford, 44, of Coldwater passed away Sunday, June 30, 2024 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 8, 2024 at Lester Cemetery, Algansee Township, Michigan. Pastor Brad Parrish will officiate the service.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 13 starting at 6:00 p.m. at the family farm, 782 Fremont Road, Reading, Michigan.
He was born on October 23, 1979 in Coldwater, Michigan.
Jason graduated from Quincy High School in 1998, and later graduated from Michigan Career & Technical Institute, Plainwell, Michigan in 1999.
He loved football and especially loved U of M football and the Detroit Lions. He was also a collector of sports cards, buying and selling them for many years. He formerly worked for Walmart in Coldwater, Michigan.
Survivors include his mother and Step-father, Sheila (Dana) Alley of Reading, Michigan, a brother, Brian (Kelly) Smith of Reading, Michigan, sisters, Melissa (James) Adams of Mt. Vernon, Ohio, Andrea (Shawn) McKibbin of Quincy, Michigan, and Dana Jo Alley-Vallejo (Luis) of Clewiston, Florida, nieces and nephews, Austin, Zackary, Kaleb, Madison, Nicholas, Stephanie, Hailey, Dylan, Rhianna, Dallas, Mason, Lucas, and Mavis, and a special friend, Corey Lahnum.
He was preceded in death by his father, Stephen Hungerford, and grandparents, Carlyle and Gloria Berlien, and Henry and Kaye Hungerford.
Memorial donations in his memory may be directed to Shriners Children’s Hospital, 2211 N. Oak Park Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60707.
