Susan Marie (Hyska) Wagner, 68, of Bronson passed away suddenly at ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital surrounded by her family.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home in Bronson.
The family will receive guests for visitation that morning from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
Sue was born on January 22, 1956 to Henry and Patricia (Ludwick) Hyska in Sturgis, Michigan. She attended Bronson High School where she graduated 50 years ago with the class of 1974.
September 7, 1974, Sue married the love of her life Leo Wagner at St. Mary’s Assumption Church in Bronson.
Sue was a hardworking mother who opened her heart and her home to many of the area’s youth during her over 20 years of running a daycare.
Sue had a heart of gold and was a woman of strong faith. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Bronson where she was involved with the Women’s Fellowship and took great pride in serving others through the greeting card ministry.
Sue was a very creative and crafty woman. In younger years she did numerous craft shows with her dear friend June Jasper and later in life joined the Scrappy Quilters of Bronson where she formed friendships that meant the absolute world to her.
Her giving spirit and mission to serve others also led her to volunteering and working with the Bronson Food Pantry for many years.
Above all else, Sue loved being a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Sue is survived by her husband of 49 years, Leo. Her children Derek and Billie Jo Wagner of Chesnee, SC and Amanda and John Monroe of Bronson. Her precious grandson Elijah Wagner of Chesnee, SC. Her four rambunctious grand dogs Remy, Echo, Willow and Josie. Her siblings Kathy and Chuck Sikorski, Frank and Linda Hyska, Tony and Cathy Hyska all of Bronson and Patty Callahan of Coldwater. Her brother and sister in laws Don and Lori Wagner of Fisher, IN, Duane and Barb Wagner of Colon, Lloyd and Rhonda Wagner of Jackson, and Bill Hoover of Elkhart, IN. Her aunts and uncles Carolyn and Jim Myers of Coldwater, Jacob Ludwick of Bronson, Sharon Ludwick of Eckford, and Helene and Dennis Iford of Angola, IN. Many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, her sister Norma Hoover, many aunts, uncles and cousins, and her grand dogs Zoey and Sasha.
Memorial donations may be made in honor of Sue to the Bronson Food Pantry.
