Mary Ann Reidt, 33, of Union City passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family.
A private family gathering will be held at Lighthouse Funeral & Cremation in Union City. There will not be any public services at this time.
Mary was born on September 17, 1990, to Jeffrey Lee and Vicky Lynn (Mosher) Oldham in Marshall, Michigan. She graduated from Union City High School with the Class of 2009. Mary then lived in Marshall and Battle Creek before moving back to Union City in 2018 in Calhoun County. She married Paul Joseph Reidt November 15, 2019.
Mary worked at Once Upon a Child in Battle Creek, Denso Manufacturing in Battle Creek and the former Play Care Child Care in Marshall, before becoming a homemaker. She was very involved in her children’s activities from her girls at the Dance Factory in Coldwater to chaperoning school events and kids’ parties.
Mary was known by her family as a “mother hen”. She liked planning and keeping Paul in line. Some of her favorite things were camping several times a year with her family and taking lots and lots of photos.
In addition to her husband Paul, Mary is survived by her children, Gabriel, Payden, Paul Edward, Raelyn, and Nora, all of Union City; her mother, Vicky Oldham of Union City and her father, Jeffrey (Frances Slone) of Marshall; her sisters, Ashley (Lynny Hummer) Oldham of Sherwood, Virginia (Mike) Lashley of Battle Creek, and Gabrielle (Kody) Sours of Sherwood; many nieces and nephews, with a great-niece on the way; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and her in-laws, Paul James (Glenda) Reidt of Paw Paw.
Mary is preceded in death by her grandparents, Lawrence (Betty) Mosher and James (Rebecca) Oldham and her two uncles, Koy A. Montgomery and Timothy Sean Oldham.
