Lacerne C. Klingler, 83, of Coldwater passed away in his home Monday, August 12, 2024 under the care of Heartland Hospice.
A funeral service will be held Friday, August 16, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater, MI with Chaplin Scott Southerland officiating. Interment will follow the service at Batavia Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 16, 2024, from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Lacerne was born July 24, 1941, to Wilbur C. and Ruth E. (Lindermann) Klingler. He married Mira L. (Wireman) on October 8, 1960, in Jackson, MI.
Lacerne proudly served as a member of United States Army Reserves. He spent many years working at Dawn Donuts, ATL Trucking and he farmed Guinea Pigs since 1975.
Lacerne enjoyed fishing, mowing his lawn and anything with history, especially involving wars. He enjoyed visiting lighthouses when he could. Most of all Lacerne loved spending time with his family, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren especially.
Lacerne is survived by his wife Mira Klingler of Coldwater; his children, Randal (Yvonne) Klingler of Coldwater, Tracie Davis of Bronson, Jeffery (Michelle) Klingler of Parma, MI; his siblings Dorothy (Harold) Morehouse, Caroline Trine, and Royal (Cheryl) Klingler; his grandchildren, Cory (Jess) Davis, Anthony (Kelsey) Klingler, Colt (Amanda) Davis, Troy (Andrea) Klingler, Mitchel (Cassie) Klingler, Samantha (Dane) Kline, Jonah (Jena) Klingler; his 12 great-grandchildren with 3 more on the way; his sister-in-law Shelva Petrie; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Lacerne was preceded in death by his parents.
