Darlene J. Shilling, 90, of Quincy passed away Sunday, August 18, 2024 at Oaklawn Hospital in Marshall.
Graveside services will be held Monday, August 26, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at Lakeview Cemetery in Quincy with Pastor Mark Case officiating.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Quincy.
She was born March 15, 1934, in Williams County, Ohio to William and Velma (Jaques) Drushal. She married Charles Shilling, and he preceded her in death on February 21, 2001.
Darlene was a farm girl at heart, growing up on her family farm outside of Quincy. She graduated from Quincy High School, where she was a talented basketball player. She also was an avid bowler and loved playing golf with her siblings. Darlene retired from Acorn Products where she worked for many years.
Survivors include her two daughters, Lucinda Voelzke of Colon and Cynthia Lindsay of Quincy; grandchildren, Chandra (Troy) Gruner of Coldwater and Tyson Lindsey; great-grandchildren, Courtney Beatty, Christian Haughn, Jacob Beatty and Garrett, Kelsey and Gavin Gruner; great-great-grandchildren, Oliver, Oakley and Frankie Berry and Alexis Young.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles; granddaughter, Nickie Beatty; and siblings, Kenneth Drushal, Mildred Stout and Joann Banker.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the family, in care of Eagle Funeral Homes.
