UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – The Village of Union City has scheduled hydrant flushing for next week. Hydrants in the village are scheduled to be flushed between October 7 through October 11.
During this time, village residents may notice brown or discolored water as iron deposits are flushed from the water mains.
Residents should check their water before using, especially for drinking, cooking, and laundry.
If discoloration is noticed, run cold water from the taps until it clears.
Residents with their number on file will receive an automated call notifying them of this maintenance in the next day or two.
