BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson Community Foundation was presented with a $3,000 grant from Altrusa International of Branch County on Wednesday that will be used to repair the roof on the Bronson Theater’s marquee.
The grant was presented to Bronson Community Foundation Board Member Patrick Bird by member DeAnne Hawley.
The Bronson Community Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that serves as the vehicle for maintaining and operating the Bronson Theater as an inclusive and welcoming Community Centre.
The theater doubles as an auditorium for the fine arts programs for the Bronson Community Schools, as a home for the Bronson Community Food Pantry and Bronson Area Historical Society, and as an activity center for cultural programs, community events, and local service clubs.
The Bronson Theater has the following events coming soon:
Witches-Palooza (community theater): October 25 and 26 at 6:30 p.m. and October 27 at 3:00 p.m.
Spooks Haunted House: October 31 from 6:00-7:00 p.m.
Velveteen Rabbit (school play): November 20-24
Santa’s Coming to Town: November 29, doors open at 5:00 p.m.
It’s a Wonderful Life: December 13, 14 at 6:30 p.m. and December 15 at 3:00 p.m.
Free Holiday Movie Nights: December 20, 21, and 22.
