TECUMSEH, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Cardinal girls basketball team dropped their first game of the season Tuesday night, losing at Tecumseh 46-34.
The Cardinals led 15-7 after the first quarter, but the Indians outscored the visitors 15-7 in the second and third quarters to put the game away. Tecumseh led 24-22 at halftime and 39-29 after three.
Elli Foley led all scorers with 13 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals. Mya Porter added 10 points, 5 boards, 3 assists, 3 steals, and 2 blocks as Coldwater fell to 2-1 on the season. They are idle until next Tuesday, when they host Gull Lake
Eastern Michigan-bound Alli Zajac led Tecumseh with 12 points. The Indians, who made it to the Division 2 Quarterfinals last season, are now 2-0.
Tecumseh also won the JV game 56-13.

Union City fell to 1-2 on the season as they lost at Olivet 62-35.
Nala Payne had a team-high 13 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, and 4 steals. Ellie WIlliams added 10 points and 8 boards.
The Chargers will host Bronson Friday night.
