BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – Alex Dunn’s three point bucket at the buzzer game the Quincy Orioles a 48-46 victory over league leading Springport on Thursday in a Big 8 Conference boys basketball game at the Coolest Gym in Michigan.

Alex Barry’s foul shot with about a minute to play gave Quincy a two point lead. Springport turned around and hit a 3 point basket to take a 46-45 lead before Dunn hit his dramatic shot and got mobbed by his teammates.
Brandon Miner led Quincy with 17 points while Dunn added 16 points. Quincy is now 6-5 overall and 3-4 in the Big 8.
Bronson’s struggles continued as they lost at Maple Valley 75-72. The Vikings have lost four in a row as their record dropped to 6-6 overall and 3-4 in the Big 8.
Union City also lost on the road to Concord 59-47. The Chargers are 8-5 overall and 4-3 in the Big 8
Also in the basketball on Thursday night, Litchfield defeated Tekonsha, 44-29.
