BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – It was a rough Wednesday night for the Quincy Orioles and Bronson Vikings boys basketball teams as they both dropped non-conference games on the road.
The Orioles lost at Hillsdale 58-55. The Hornets led 39-30 at halftime but Quincy rallied to take the lead in the third quarter.
The Orioles struggled to secure rebounds and make free throws all night which came back to haunt them as their record dropped to 6-6.
Brandon Miner led Quincy with 22 points while Alex Dunn added 13 points.
Quincy won the J.V. game over Hillsdale 60-48. Carson Haylett recorded a double double with 15 points and 14 rebounds. Garrett Haylett added 13 points as the J.V. Orioles improved their record to 11-1.
Meanwhile, Bronson dropped their fifth straight game as they lost at Marshall 59-44. The Vikings are now 6-7. They have played six straight games on the road. Bronson has not had a home game since December 19.
