BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – All of the Branch County wrestling teams were in action on Wednesday night as the regular season starts to wind down.
The Coldwater Cardinals were defeated by the Harper Creek Beavers 69-6 at the Coach Floyd Eby Gymnasium.
Dayton Miller got the only points for the Cardinals with a pin at 150 pounds.
Bronson won a pair of matches as the Vikings defeated Quincy 55-24 and Reading 58-24.
Double winners for the Vikings were Brayton Cosby (106), Wyatt Weinberg (138), Owen Kimmons (144), Brycen Fincham (150), Caleb Harvey (157), Collin York (165), Layne Knisely (175) and Sam Tappenden (285).
Quincy got wins against Bronson from Marissa Lincon (113), Aaron Jones (120), Blaik Pierce (126) and Caleb Rose (132).
The Orioles defeated Concord 71-0 in their other match at Reading. Oriole winners were Ryan Rose (106), Lincon (113), Jones (120), Pierce (126), Caleb Rose (132), Chayse Jensen (138), Evan Yeakey (144), Coy Wood (150), Izayiah Rena (157), Landon Bearden (165), Lucas Dixon (190) and Hayden Peters (285).
Union City won a pair of Big 8 Conference matches by lopsided margins as they defeated Maple Valley 72-9 and Stockbridge 78-6.
Double winners for the Chargers were Blayne Crance (113), Kaden Russell (120), Mitchell Graham (126), Mason Hawthorne (132), Aidan Taylor (150), Alex Boyer (157), Montana Connell (165), John Olmsted (175 and 190), William Thompson (215) and Luke Cronkright.
