JACKSON, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Cardinal Boys Varsity bowling team traveled to Jackson for the Mel Wolf Invitational at Jax 60 on Sunday.
It was a competitive tournament featuring ranked teams from all four divisions and Coldwater held their own all day, finishing a respectable tenth out of 32 teams.
They bowled two regular games with scores of 868 and 912 for a total of 1780, they then bowled an eight game Baker block of 1348 for a total qualifying score of 3128, missing the cut of the top 8 by 56 pins.
The Cardinals were led on the day by Lennon Swick with games of 224 and 184 for a 2 games series of 408 and Brady Hawver with games of 205 and 198 for a 403 series.
Ian Schindler pitched in with a 179 and Vinnie Beekman a 178.
