Kenneth E. Pierucki, 80, of Coldwater passed away Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Drew’s Place Assisted Living in Coldwater.
A funeral service will take place Thursday, February 13, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Coldwater. Interment will follow the service at Lockwood Cemetery in Coldwater.
A visitation will take place on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. followed by a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Ken was born November 30, 1944, to Joseph W. & Caroline E. (Otto) Pierucki, in Coldwater. He later met and married Cheryl E. Cook on February 4, 1967, she preceded him in death in 1995. Ken met and married Jean Bethwayon July 8, 2000.
Ken worked 20 plus years at Coldwater Regional Center. Ken spent most of his life farming, which he continued to do after he retired.
Ken was a member of St. Charles Church, where he served as an usher for over 55 years. He was a board member for the Branch County Fair and a lifetime member of the FFA.
Ken was known as the local fix it man, he was very well versed in the fair and farming, building and restoring tractors, and welding.He was very proud of restoring and operating a sawmill with Dave Lockwood and Ralph Widener and being a part of the handicap horseback riding at the fairgrounds.
Most of all Ken enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren.
Ken is survived by his wife Jean Pierucki of Coldwater; his children Joseph (Elisa) Pierucki of Coldwater; Dan (TrissyUpston) Pieruckiof Tekonsha; Monica (Mark) Hacker of Athens; Angela (Ken) Washburn of Coldwater; his stepchildren Deanne Casey of Venice, FL; Mike Peters of Lakeland, FL; Tom (Melinda) Peters of Coldwater; Beverly (Andy) Boucounis of Syracuse, NY; his sister Shirley “Lee” Pierucki of Coldwater; his in laws Brian Cook of Quincy; David (Kris) Cook of Coldwater; Gary (Su) Cook of Coloma, MI; his grandchildren Chris (Kala) Pierucki; Aaron (Melodi) Pierucki; Nick (Kaylyn) Pierucki; Kelli (Ethan) Paul; Mason Pierucki; Cheryl (Jon) Lawrence; Erin Washburn; step grandchildren Paige; Alex; Chloe; Demi; Amanda; his five great grandchildren; his many loving nieces and nephews and his close friends Ted (Deb) Gigowski.
Ken was preceded in death by his wife Cheryl Pierucki; his parents; his siblings Conrad(Yvonne) Pierucki; Richard (Charlotte) Pierucki; his nephew Patrick Pierucki; his sisters-in-law Karen Scholl and Penny Cook.
