Kenneth Leonard, 57, of Sherwood passed away Friday, February 7, 2025 at Evergreen Senior Care in Battle Creek.
The family will host a memorial service Sunday, February 16, 2025 at 3:00 p.m.. at Assembly of God Church, 501 Division Street, Union City, MI 49094 with Pastor Pete Payne officiating.
A visitation will be held from 1:30-3:00 p.m.. also at Assembly of God. A luncheon will follow in the church fellowship hall. The family asks that you please bring a dish to pass.
The family is being served by Lighthouse Funeral & Cremation in Union City.
Ken was born on January 3, 1968 to Richard and Joyce (Briggs) Leonard in Sturgis, Michigan. He graduated from Centreville High School with the Class of 1986. Ken worked as a welder, working at several manufacturing plants, the last being Morgan Olson in Sturgis. On September 4, 2010, he married Donisha Collyer in Coldwater.
Ken enjoyed hunting, fishing, being outdoors, video games, all kinds of card games, especially cribbage, and spending time with his dogs and family.
Surviving Ken are his wife, Donisha Leonard of Sherwood; his son, David Otis Jr./ Leonard of Sherwood; his daughter, Michelle (Zachary) Leonard Smurr of Union City; his soon to arrive grandson, Spencer Allen Smurr; his sisters, Tammy (Joe) Harker and Kimberly (Bill) Keller; several nieces, nephews, and his dogs, Otis Ramon and Baby Girl.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Ricky and Randy Leonard.
Memorial contributions may be made to Lighthouse Funeral & Cremation, P.O. Box 161, Union City, MI 49094 to assist with final expenses.
