June Elizabeth Wilber, 96, of Bronson passed away Sunday, February 16, 2025 at Maple Lawn Medical Care Facility in Coldwater.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at 12:45 p.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home in Bronson. Interment will follow the service at Bronson Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 25, 2025 prior to the service from 10:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home in Bronson.
June was born October 30, 1928 to Northa and Rubia (Morrow) Crabill in Bronson, MI. She later met and married Garth W. Wilber on July 28, 1946, in Bronson.
June spent many years working at Wilber Auction Service which began in 1919 and is now known as White Star Auction in Bronson.
June was very active in the Bronson Methodist Church and the Bronson Congregational Church for many years. She was a member of the Chamber of Commerce, the Scrappy Quilters, Bronson High School Alumni, the Bronson Library and the Bronson Historical Society.
June was very proud to be apart of the Michigan Auctioneers Association Auxiliary and attending or watching Bronson High School athletics any chance she could.
In her free time, she enjoyed sewing and quilting, gardening, and excelled at baking pies pumpkin especially. June was very strong-willed, independent but most of all community oriented. Whenever she was able to, June looked forward to spending time with her friends, family and her cats.
June is survived by her children Brent (Virginia) Wilber; Garth Burdette (Susan) Wilber; Cathy Wilber-Welch; Rebecca (Dan Vorce) Wilber-Myers; Elizabeth “Buffy” (Dan) Wilber Reck; her siblings Joan Larimer; Northa Crabill; James Young; her daughter-in-law Linda Wilber; her 15 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
June was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Garth Wilber; her children Dawn Marie Wilber; Brian Henry Wilber; her grandchildren Laura Noelle Wilber; Nathaniel Brian Wilber; her siblings Dortha (Crabill) Wilson; Virginia (Crabill) Ballard; Velma Guernsey Whitcomb; Arlington Guernsey; Willodean (Young) Fair; Jean Blasius; and Charles Martin Crabill.
Memorials may be directed to the Bronson Volunteer Fire Department, Bronson High School Band, or Bronson Historical Society.
