CALHOUN COUNTY, MI (WTVB)- The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office has been recognized for excellence in policy management and training in 2024 by Lexipol, a policy, training, and wellness support provider for public safety agencies.
This year, the Sheriff’s Office achieved Gold status through the Lexipol Connect program—the highest level of recognition offered. This distinction reflects the Office’s commitment to maintaining up-to-date policies, providing consistent training, and ensuring the timely dissemination of policies to all staff.
Sheriff Steve Hinkley says “Strong policies and ongoing training are essential to our mission of protecting and serving Calhoun County, and gold recognition from Lexipol is a testament to our dedication to professionalism, accountability, and public safety.”
Lexipol Connect measures agencies on five key performance indicators tied to policy and training best practices. The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office excelled in all five categories, demonstrating its commitment to maintaining legally sound policies and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
