COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Board of Commissioners officially approved the appointment of Lyndsey Shembarger as the county’s Equalization Director on Tuesday afternoon.
This comes after the County agreed to a contract with Assessing Solutions to perform the county’s equalization functions last year. Shembarger was appointed by Assessing Solutions to represent Branch County.
County Administrator Frank Walsh says she will be compensated through the contract with Assessing Solutions.
In addition, the Commissioners approved Branch County’s 2025 Equalization report.
It showed the cumulative total for Real Property in the county was over $3.2 billion while the cumulative total for Personal Property was over $319 million.
