COLDWATER, MI (WTVB)- Three Fort Wayne, Indiana residents are facing multiple charges after being found in possession of a stolen car and drugs on Sunday in Coldwater. The incident began when Coldwater police received a Flock camera notification of a stolen black KIA Forte out of Indiana, the vehicle was located a short time later at a marijuana dispensary on Willowbrook road.
Police were able to detain three suspects and begin an investigation that revealed both methamphetamine and a set of brass knuckles. That led to the arrest of Shawn Michael Thompson, Amber Christina Terry and James William LaRue all of Fort Wayne.
Thompson is charged with possession of methamphetamine, and receiving and concealing of a stolen motor vehicle.
LaRue is facing charges of possession of methamphetamine/ecstasy and dangerous weapon charge.
Terry is listed as a co defendant in both cases.
All three will be back in court for a probable cause hearing on May 1st and preliminary exam on May 7th.
