ANGOLA, IN (WTVB)- A Illinoise man is facing multiple felony counts for financial crimes in Steuben County. 58 year old Michael A. Campo, of Mokena, Illinois, was arrested in Angola, on charges of money laundering, corrupt business influence, and theft. Campo, former chief financial officer of EnTrust Capital Management, allegedly misappropriated over $200,000 from the company, which was headquartered in downtown Angola.
The Angola Police Department executed the arrest following a warrant, with Campo facing two Level 5 felonies, six Level 6 felonies, and six misdemeanor theft charges.
Campo alledgedy spent thousands of dollars of company funds for personal use including a trip to Italy, a boat and trailer, golf cart and golf course memberships.
He posted a $3,000 bond and was released, with a trial set for January 8, 2026. If convicted on all felony counts, Campo could face up to 27 years in prison.
