COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater City Council approved a bid of over $796,000 from Rieth-Riley Construction Company of Kalamazoo on Monday night for the second phase of the Butters Avenue project.
Rieth-Riley had the lowest bid of the four submitted to the city which were opened on April 10, 2025.
City Manager Keith Baker said Rieth-Riley performed the work during the first phase of the Butters Avenue project in 2023.
Work on Butters between Race Street and Garfield Avenue is scheduled for this summer.
Baker says this project was included in the City’s Fiscal Year 2025-26 budget with funds allocated from the City’s Act 51 Major and Local Street Fund.
