BRONSON, MI (WTVB)- A large crowd of families gathered on Wednesday at Kiwanis Park in Bronson to celebrate the grand opening of the City’s new playground. The ribbon cutting marked the completion of a project fully funded by a $74,000 grant from the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA).
Bronson Mayor Bill Rinehart had the honor of cutting the ribbon, officially opening the playground to the public. Members of the Kiwanis Club of Bronson and the Bronson City Council, key supporters of the park’s improvements, joined in the celebration.
Over thirty-five children enjoyed the new play structure, which features slides, climbing elements, and enrichment features. Families were treated to free popcorn, drinks, balloons, and gift bags as they explored the upgraded space.
Representatives from MSHDA were in attendance to see the direct impact of their investment and to celebrate alongside the Bronson community. The event highlighted how collaboration between state partners and civic groups can create lasting benefits for families, friends, and neighbors.
