JONESVILLE, MI (WTVB) – Troopers from the Michigan State Police say a single car accident claimed the life of a Hillsdale County teen Monday.
Troopers were dispatched to investigate an unknown crash at Genesee Rd and Bunn Rd.
Preliminary investigation shows a vehicle driving east on Genessee was occupied by three people.
A 16-year-old driver lost control of the car, causing it to veer off the left side of the road and collide with a tree stump.
Hillsdale EMS transported an 18-year-old passenger from Jonesville to Hillsdale Hospital, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
The accident remains under investigation. No other information has been made available.
