COLDWATER MI, (WTVB)- A Kalamazoo couple will do jail time after being sentenced in Branch Circuit Court this week.
41 year old Tasha Grove was sentenced to 18 months to ten years in prison after pleading guilty to meth possession. Prosecutor Zack Stempien asked for the prison time from Judge Bill O’Grady due to Groves lengthy criminal history that included an arrest less then 30 days after being released from on bond from the Branch County jail.
Last month Quinard Churchwell who was arrested along with Grove after police discovered the car, he was driving was stolen, plead guilty to possession of stolen property and received a sentence of 12 months to five years behind bars.
The pair were arrested by Coldwater police in January after being pulled over for no license plate.
