EMMETT TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB)- The man accused of fatally stabbing someone more than a 100 times over the weekend pled not guilty to a murder charge on Tuesday.
56-year-old Epifanio Tudon Ibarra was arraigned yesterday just two days after he was arrested in connection with the knife attack on Sunday that killed 44 year old Waleed Hall at an apartment complex in Emmit Township.
Police say Ibarra stabbed Hall 120 times, severing his carotid, jugular and spinal cord.
Ibarra had 11 previous felony convictions since 1995, with at least five of those for assault with a dangerous weapon.
Police did recover a knife covered in blood from Ibarra’s apartment, he is currently being held in the Calhoun County jail without bond.
