UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – Union City Assistant Police Chief Corey Wilkinson is recovering today after suffering what the department only described as a medical emergency Monday.
Wilkinson was flown by helicopter to Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo.
According to a post on the department’s Facebook page, Wilkinson is in stable condition as of this morning and recovering well.
They also relayed his gratitude for the outpouring of community support.
UCPD also thanked the several agencies who responded Tuesday, Including Union City Fire, Burlington Fire, Life Care Ambulance, and Med Flight.
