Michael D. Devantier, 60, of Hanover, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2025 at The Laurels of Coldwater.
No services will be held at this time.

“Big Mike” was born July 4, 1964 in Detroit, MI to Donald & Sue (Brown) Devantier. He was an all-county football player in high school and went on to play for Evangel College in Springfield, MO.
Mike began his working career in the Detroit area working for Chicago Beef at the Eastern Market.
He became a credentialed minister and spent many years pastoring people in Michigan, Northeastern Ohio, and Western Pennsylvania. One of his greatest accomplishments as a minister was founding Youth Net, a coalition of youth ministers that provided religious education and support to youth throughout Macomb County.
Toward the end of his career he was a successful medical salesman.
Mike attended church at Hillsdale Assembly of God where he would occasionally share a message and speak about his journey in life. He remained very involved with the Assembly of God Men’s ministry throughout the State of Michigan.
Mike was an avid outdoorsman; his greatest passions were hunting, fishing, and camping. He was actively involved in the National Wild Turkey Federation – Wheelin’ Sportsmen Program of Escanaba, MI. He was also involved with the Michigan Pheasant Hunting Initiative, which was instrumental in growing pheasant hunting in lower Michigan.
He enjoyed John Wayne movies and loved to cook for others. Mike was a very giving man, never allowing his disabilities to interfere with his life.
Mike is survived by Donna (Bambrick-Devantier), his children Michael (Marissa) Devantier of Freedom Twp., OH, Jace (Laura Ritacco) Devantier of Royal Oak, Miciah (Kerry) Lofton of Peck; his mother Sue Devantier of Roseville; his siblings Jeffrey (Daria) Devantier of Charlevoix, Carolyn (David) Bradt of St. Clair Shores; his grandchildren Liam & Iris Devantier, Eleanor Lofton and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father.
