Marsha Ann (Benson) Gibbs, 82, of Coldwater passed away Friday, June 27, 2025 at Ascension Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo surrounded by her family.
In keeping with Marsha’s wishes, she will be cremated and a graveside service will be held Saturday, July 12, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Cook’s Prairie Cemetery, Clarendon Township. Pastor Rob Schwartz will officiate.
Marsha was born May 28, 1943 in Homer, Michigan to Robert and Fanneta (Frederick) Benson. She graduated from Homer Community Schools Adult Education in 1970.
She waitressed for 30 years; her final 10 years was at the Homer Grill. She later moved to factory work, officially retiring in 2008.
Marsha loved to go bowling, garden, read books, play dominos, board games, and spend time with her family.
Marsha is survived by her children, Marla (Scott) Cunningham of La Crosse, WI, Bradley Cronkhite of Coldwater, Brett (Penny) Cronkhite of Union City, and Melody (Russ) Nicewander of Irons, MI; her siblings, Barry (Cynthia) Benson of Marshall and Margo Buckner of Dimondale; her grandchildren, Dustin, Ashley, Brett II, Megan, Ryan, Michael, Mary Elizabeth, Anne, Brianna, and Catherine; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Marsha is preceded in death by her parents; baby brother, Terry Benson; and her long-term companion, Lee Donihue.
