Martin C. “Joe” Olds, 78, of Coldwater passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at his home.
In keeping with Joe’s wishes, he will be cremated and no public services will be held.
The family is being served by Lighthouse Funeral & Cremation in Union City.
Joe was born on June 30, 1947, to Max and Marjorie (Carroll) Olds in Coldwater, Michigan. He graduated from Coldwater High School with the Class of 1964. Joe proudly served in the U.S. Army, completing two tours in Vietnam and retiring after 20 years of service.
He married Natha Haase April 7, 1972 at the First Presbyterian Church in Benton Harbor, Michigan. She preceded him in death in 2022.
Joe was a computer programmer for many years, working for BDM and Compuware, which contracted with the Ford Motor Company.
Joe was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Trye Lodge 18 of the F & AM, in Coldwater and the VFW in Athens. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, deer camp, being outdoors, reading, and family dinners with his daughter in-law’s cooking.
Joe is survived by his children, Lloyd (Michelle) Olds of Coldwater and Toni (Dan) Buckley of Washington; his brother, Max (Deena) Olds of Coldwater; and his grandchildren, Jaxon, Andie, and Remi Buckley.
In addition to his beloved wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, and his siblings, Toni Granse and Dick Morrison.
