COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Three big events are expected to bring thousands of visitors to Coldwater this weekend.
The 39th annual Apple Fest is downtown Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m..
Over 200 vendors will line the streets from the Four Corners, down the south side of US 12 as well as South Monroe and South Hanchett Street and Tibbits Plaza. Craft and food vendors will have a wide ere of items, from rustic primitives and modern home décor to epic cosplay crafts and one-of-a-kind finds. There will also be food and live entertainment and of course lots of apples.

Drivers in the downtown area should be alert for heavy pedestrian traffic during that time. All vehicles need to be removed from the Tibbits Parking Lot, South Monroe Street and the South Side of U.S. 12 on Friday night. Those areas will be No Parking Zones until Saturday at 5:00 p.m..
If big trucks and BBQ are your thing, you’ll want to make your way out to the Branch County Fair Grounds on Friday and Saturday for The Troy Link Memorial Truck Show.

The two day event honors late trucker Troy Link and raises money for a scholarship fund for students pursuing education in technical trades or truck driving. It will feature Truck displays and a nightly light show, A “Touch-a-Truck” area for kids, live music and cornhole tournaments.
The truck show will coincide with Kansas City Barbeque Society cook-off contest also taking place at the fairgrounds. Professional and amateur teams showcase their skills in categories like chicken, pork ribs, brisket, and more, with judges evaluating them on appearance, taste, and tenderness.
Competitors vie for significant prize money and the chance to be crowned a world champion in their respective categories.
