COLDWATER, MI (WTVB)- While the Coldwater High School boys soccer teams had great success on the field this season, the varsity squad was also named Academic All State for the first time in the program’s history.
The honor from the Michigan High School Soccer Coaches Association was based on a combined 3.31 grade point average for the team. Seniors Austin Accardi, Liam Clark, Juan Pablo Ocampo, Sebastian Ocampo, and Franky Ramos also received Individual Academic All State Honors.
In on-field honors, Ramos and Abdulhamid Munassar have been named All State Honorable Mention, in addition to All Region and All District. They could receive additional honors after the final All State teams are announced this weekend. Accardi, Clark, and Moshen Umari were also selected All District.
Accardi, Ramos, Munassar, and Umari were named Interstate 8 All Conference, with Clark and Ahmed Norman named All Conference Honorable Mention.
Accardi, Clark, Norman, Juan Pablo Ocampo, Sebastian Ocampo, Ramos, Mason Sabaitis, and Siler VanDellen were named Interstate 8 Academic All Conference.
Ramos, Umari, Munassar, Accardi, and Clark were selected to the Battle Creek Enquirer 2025 All Enquirer Soccer Team, with Riath Shamala, Norman, Nasser Abdullah, Essam Ahmed, and Sebastian Ocampo named Honorable Mention.
In player-selected honors, Accardi and Norman were named co-Most Valuable Players, with Accardi and Ramos receiving the Coach’s Cardinal Way award.
Munassar was named Best Offensive and First Year Varsity Player, Umari selected Best Defensive Player, Aseel Ahmed was Most Improved, and Norman and Sebastian Ocampo were named Hardest Workers.
The varsity team finished the season 15-6-1 after capturing the Interstate 8 Conference title.

The 2025 junior varsity team was only the second in program history to finish undefeated with a 19-0 record.
Giovanni Gonzalez was named by his teammates as Most Valuable Player. Muthana Hajaji was named Best Offensive Player, Ibrahim Aldhubaeai selected Best Defensive Player, Aiden Adams was Most Improved, and Maher Semar was named Hardest Worker.
The teams held their annual post-season awards banquet Tuesday at Coldwater High School.
