COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Burnside Center in Coldwater will host a community conversation with the Michigan Aging, Community Living, and Supports (ACLS) Bureau Thursday, November 6 at 1:30 p.m.
The ACLS Bureau is gathering input from older adults and caregivers throughout the state to help develop Michigan’s next State Plan on Aging. Individuals aged 60 and older, along with their caregivers, are encouraged to attend and share their experiences and perspectives on aging in Michigan to help identify community needs and priorities.
According to Amy Duff, Executive Director of the Burnside Center, “The voices of Michigan’s older adults are vital to shaping the next State Plan on Aging.” She encourages local residents to participate in the conversation to ensure the community’s needs are represented.
The Burnside Center serves Branch County residents aged 50 and over by promoting the rights and abilities of older adults to foster their health, well-being, and independence. It is located at 65 Grahl Drive, just off Michigan Avenue.
