COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater City Council approved a pair of power purchase agreements with the Michigan South Central Power Agency on Monday night after the agreements were approved last week by the CBPU Board of Directors.
The first authorizes CBPU Director Paul Jakubczak to enter into an agreement with the Michigan South Central Power Agency to purchase up to seven-point-five megawatts of capacity from the Tallgrass Waste Heat Energy Project.
The M.S.C.P.A. has finalized the agreements with Tallgrass Hoosier Community Power, LLC.
The second purchase agreement also authorized Jakubczak to enter into a 20 year Power Purchase Agreement with the M.S.C.P.A. for the purchase up to 14-point-six megawatts of capacity from the Kearsarge Solar Project.
The Kearsarge Michigan Solar Project has seven locations in Michigan including one in Sherwood Township.
